The Surat East Builders Association (SEBA) organized the SEBA Cricket Premier League Season-1 on March 8 and 9, 2025, in Surat, marking a spectacular event that became a new symbol of unity and enthusiasm within the city’s builder community.
The tournament was inaugurated by Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil, featuring a grand opening ceremony and celebration. Pramukh ABC Risers emerged victorious among the 8 participating teams, which included a total of 150 players.
The event, complete with a grand inauguration, live concert, thrilling final, and a closing ceremony with fireworks, made the tournament unforgettable. The presence of dignitaries, including C.R. Patil, added a special charm to the occasion.
As a pioneering initiative by SEBA, the two-day Cricket Premier League was held to bring together prominent builders from the city.
The tournament kicked off with an inauguration attended by notable figures such as Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil, Education Minister Praful Pansheriya, newly appointed BJP Surat City President Paresh Patel, MLA Sangita Patil, SEBA President Shreyas Savani (Anthem Group), Treasurer Nikunj Gajera (Anthem Group), Puneetbhai Kumbhani (Bhagwat Group), Vipulbhai Radadiya (Vraj Group), Dipesh Dhanani (Devam Group), Sanjay Chokawadia, Bhavesh Buha, Ajay Barwaliya, Kamlesh Patel (Swarnabhumi), and Hiren Patel (Hindva), along with core committee members. The opening ceremony was vibrant and electrifying.
The inauguration featured an exhilarating live concert by Dhvani and Prince, accompanied by a stunning performance from a large dance troupe that had the audience dancing along.
A parade of teams showcased builder owners, players, and the SEBA leadership team arriving on bullet bikes, while guests arrived in buggies, led by Russian cheerleaders, culminating in a grand celebration.
SEBA members joined in the festivities with dance and merriment, taking to the floor to enjoy the occasion thoroughly.
Shreyas Savani (Anthem Group), Chairman of SEBA, stated, “The SEBA Cricket Premier League Season-1 was organized to unite small and large builders on a single platform, strengthening the organization. This tournament is not just a celebration of sports but a symbol of the unity and collaborative spirit of the Surat East Builder Association, which will further fortify our professional goals moving forward.”
SEBA Treasurer Nikunj Gajera, along with Sports Core Committee members Hiren Patel and Kamlesh Patel, added, “The SEBA Cricket Premier League Season-1 was held to strengthen the organization by involving builders of all scales. Despite being the first grand event since the organization’s formation, its spectacular start won everyone’s hearts.” They also announced that the team winning the toss would receive a silver coin, while the tournament winner would be awarded a 10-gram gold coin.
A material pavilion was a key attraction at the tournament, featuring stalls from Sky Pay Tiles, Kapila Steel, Shap Loan Advisory, Jagruti Tile, Radhe Tiles, Truflo Pipes, and Yugen Realty Media, where visitors gained insights into the latest updates and information.
During the grand finale, spectators enjoyed two major matches: the SEBA Cricket Premier League final and the India vs. New Zealand Champions Trophy final screened live. India’s victory added to the joyous and colourful atmosphere. Baramati MP Prabhu Vasava visited the event and was honoured by SEBA Chairman Shreyas Savani.
Surat Mayor Dakshesh Mavani also attended, picking up a bat to enjoy some cricket, and was felicitated by Shreyas Sawani and his leadership team. Both dignitaries encouraged the players and congratulated the organizers for the event’s historic success.
The final match between Pragati Fire and Pramukh ABC Risers was a thrilling contest, with Pramukh ABC Risers clinching the title. Pragati Group’s team finished as runners-up, with their owners accepting the trophy.
The closing ceremony was celebrated grandly, with the sky lighting up with fireworks. Delicious food and refreshments were arranged meticulously for attendees across both days. SEBA members, industry professionals, friends, and families came together to revel in this historic moment.
The Surat East Builders Association (SEBA) also announced plans for a Real Estate Expo targeting developers in areas like Varachha, Mota Varachha, Sarthana, Pasodara, Kholvad, Kosad, Velanja, Kamrej, Kadodara, Saniya, Parvat Patiya, Dindoli, Devadh, Sachin, Pipodara, and surrounding regions, aimed at promoting project sales and industry growth. The expo is slated to take place soon.
Founded last year, SEBA addresses the unorganized development and challenges faced by developers in these areas due to the incomplete implementation of the Surat Development Plan 2035.
With a mission to resolve emerging issues, enhance the business environment, and promote organized growth, SEBA has rapidly grown, with over 300 builders joining the organization in less than a year.
The initiative, led by founding members Puneetbhai Kumbhani, Shreyans Savani, Vipulbhai Radadiya, Dipesh Dhanani, and Nikunj Gajera, fosters unity, collaboration, and sustainable development among builders.
