CREDAI GUJCON 2025 was a significant and landmark event for the real estate industry, with knowledge sessions organized by government representatives, industry leaders, business tycoons, developers, and experts to address key challenges and solutions in the real estate sector.
The event, held in Ahmedabad, was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, who stressed the importance of affordable housing and green initiatives.
The Chief Minister emphasized improving the concept of affordable housing and expressed the government’s readiness to support the construction of more 1BHK and 2BHK units with necessary amenities.
He urged developers to take the right decision on the ‘JANTRI’ hike and assured that the government’s decision would be development-oriented for all stakeholders, the industry, and the state.
He appealed to ensure that benefits like FSI concessions given on green buildings reach home buyers. He reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting affordable housing projects.
During the event, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi hailed Ahmedabad’s development as a global city, highlighting the growing demand for large-scale construction projects.
He praised CREDAI for its community initiatives, including green building projects and school renovations.
An MoU was signed between CREDAI and CEPT University to start specialized courses for plumbers and electricians, which will promote skill development in the sector.
The event also witnessed a proud moment as industry veteran Velji Sheta, former Chairman of Gujarat CREDAI and Partner of Sangini Group, received the first Lifetime Achievement Award at GUJCON 2025 for his unprecedented contribution to the industry.
CREDAI Ahmedabad President Dhruv Patel thanked the government for doubling the incentives for green buildings, which promote sustainable development. The event reaffirmed CREDAI’s key role in driving real estate development in Gujarat. It was also informed that CREDAI Ahmedabad had transformed 25 schools through Mission Kayakalp.
