YUGEN REALTY, SURAT
Every building is not just made of brick, cement and steel. Behind it is an idea, a vision and most importantly, a feeling. There are some places where there is an overwhelming sense of calm as soon as you enter.
The walls seem to communicate despite being silent, the natural light enlivens the entire space and every corner seems to tell a different story of the lifestyle of the people living there. Such spaces are not only designed, but created by understanding sensations, experiences and human needs.
Perhaps this is architecture in its truest sense, where space is created not just for looks, but to make life more beautiful, more meaningful and more enjoyable.
In today’s time when design is often limited to fleeting trends and the glamor of social media, there are some creators who consider design not just a profession, but a responsibility.
For him every house is a family identity, every workplace is a reflection of an organization’s culture and every project is a new life story.
Surat-based Aditya Sutaria Architects is one such award-winning architecture and interior design firm, which has made a name for itself in a very short span of time.
Successfully completing over 180 residential, commercial and industrial projects in just five years, developing a completely referral-based practice and infusing their design philosophy in various cities across the country from Surat to Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Architect Aditya Sutaria and Architect Priyal Sutaria have proven that trust comes not just from advertising, but from consistent quality, transparency. and achieved through meaningful design.
His every creation has splendour, but not ostentation; Modernity is, but not a fleeting fashion influence; And most importantly, at the center of every design is always man and his life.
Aditya Sutaria Architects is one such young and award-winning architectural and interior design firm that has rapidly established itself in Surat in the last five years, and today is not limited to Surat.
From Gujarat to Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and various cities across the country, his projects stand testimony to his design philosophy.
Behind this success are two young architects – Aditya Sutaria and Architect Priyal Sutaria, who have made design not a profession but a tool to make people’s lives better.
A dream born while looking at the sky
Not every successful journey begins with a big opportunity. Often it starts with an innocent question. Growing up in the crowded lanes of Mumbai’s Tardev area, little Aditya used to watch the tall buildings rising around his house every day.
The city was constantly changing. Old buildings would disappear and be replaced by new skyscrapers made of glass, steel and concrete. All this was not just construction for a child; It was a sight that touched the imagination.
It was only in the second or third grade that an idea settled in his mind — “To be a person who builds such buildings.” For many, childhood dreams change over time, but for Aditya, this dream remained steadfast through the years.
Perhaps that is the reason why even today he approaches each new project with the same curiosity as if he had picked up a pencil for the first time.
During his academic life he studied under the Delhi Board and then received international education at Vishwashanti Gurukul, Pune. The way forward was also clear. There was admission for higher studies abroad and the way of life became easier.
But in every successful career, there is a decision that explains its true value years later. The family told him — “If you want to do something big, do it on your own land.” This one sentence changed the direction.
Aditya passed the NATA exam and started studying architecture at DY Patil University. It was during his college days that he realized that architecture is not just a subject of learning design; it is a subject of understanding people’s lives.
The experience he gained of site, structure, teamwork and professional discipline during his internship with Soyuz Talib Architects connected the designer within him to the ground of reality.
A new beginning in Surat… where there was no identity, but confidence
The family settled in Surat during the year 2019. New city. New business. New relationships. And most importantly — no identity. In such a situation, most young people wait for a ready opportunity. But Aditya did not wait for an opportunity; he chose to knock on doors.
With a portfolio in hand, he would go to the booking offices of builders. Telling about himself, explaining his designs and just asking for an opportunity. In many places, there was no response. Many of the meetings were just formalities. But he did not stop.
Because he knew that the first job of design is not to build a beautiful building — it is to build trust first.
These same persistent efforts led him to early clients like Blue Queens and Vaishnav Devi Builders. In no time, he was given the responsibility of the sample flat of the Benito project by Devshree Group. It was not just a project; it was his first opportunity to present his creative identity in public.
There were no predetermined limitations for him. He was allowed to express his ideas freely. The resulting design impressed not only the client, but the entire market.
This project opened many new doors one after the other and the name of Aditya Sutaria Architects quickly started to resonate in the premium design circle of Surat.
The greatest proof of trust when the client becomes your identity
Today, many companies run big marketing campaigns to build their identity. But there are some brands whose strongest medium of promotion is their satisfied clients.
The journey of Aditya Sutaria Architects is a perfect example of this. Today, most of the new clients they come to do not come based on any advertisement.
They are people who have seen a house designed by them, experienced an office or heard one thing from a friend, relative or professional acquaintance — “Just talk to them once.”
Perhaps this is the biggest award for any design firm. When your work becomes your identity.
True architecture is not merely about constructing walls and roofs; it is the art of creating spaces where light, emotions, and life come alive together. Design becomes truly successful when it is not only visually beautiful but also makes the lives of everyone who lives and works within those spaces more comfortable, meaningful, and joyful.
