Factory Visit : Understanding Technology Up Close
During the recently organised RMCA Goa Summit 2026, the Ready Mix Concrete Association Surat (RMCA) arranged a special visit for its members to the Putzmeister manufacturing facility.
The visit provided members with a valuable opportunity to closely understand modern construction equipment, precision engineering and advanced concrete pumping technology.
From Germany to Burj Khalifa : Putzmeister’s Global Journey
Putzmeister National Business Head Rom Prakash Bhagat shared insights into the company’s capabilities, explaining that Putzmeister was founded in Germany in 1958 and has grown into one of the world’s leading construction equipment companies. The company has also maintained a direct presence in India for nearly 20 years.
Putzmeister supports the modern construction industry with advanced solutions for concrete transportation, pumping, placement and other applications. Its technology was also used for high-rise concrete pumping during the construction of Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.
Rohil Oza, Regional Head – West at Putzmeister Concrete Machines, assured full support from the company to the RMC manufacturers.
Advanced Products and New Technology
During the factory visit, members learned about Putzmeister’s advanced product range, including BSF truck-mounted concrete boom pumps, BSA stationary concrete pumps, MX concrete placing booms, and MOLI mobile line concrete pumps.
New-generation technologies such as iONTRON hybrid and electric solutions, along with e-Mixer systems, are helping improve operational efficiency while reducing fuel consumption and operating costs.
A Long-Term Partnership for South Gujarat
Aastha Bhatnagar, Head of Marketing at Putzmeister, expressed the company’s commitment to building a long-term partnership with RMCA and collaborating on the upcoming infrastructure growth opportunities in South Gujarat.
RMCA’s Vision : Strong Technology, Uninterrupted Supply
RMCA Surat President Abhishek Todi said that the association’s objective is to ensure an uninterrupted supply of quality concrete to infrastructure companies, builders and developers. He emphasised that collaboration with companies offering best-in-class technology will be important for developing advanced concrete pumping capabilities in the region.
Preparing Today for High-Rise Gujarat
RMCA Secretary Ankur Limbasiya said that Surat and Gujarat are rapidly moving towards high-rise development. As the region prepares for more 40- to 50-storey buildings in the future, advanced machinery, pumping technology and modern equipment will become increasingly essential.
More Than a Visit : Learning for the Future
The factory visit proved to be much more than an industrial tour for RMCA members. It became an important learning experience, offering valuable insights into the technology, engineering and capabilities that will support the future of high-rise construction and infrastructure development in South Gujarat.
