Surat Hardware and Building Materials Merchants Association (SHABMMA), the pride of Surat’s hardware and building materials industry, organized its 13th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in a grand manner, fulfilling its motto “Organization is the Power” and setting a new example of unity and progress.
The event, held at Prishti Farm, Kosmada highlighted the achievements of the organization, the cooperation of its members and its commitment to social responsibility. A total of 1,700 people, including 800 members and their families, attended the grand event, which enjoyed networking, discussions and musical entertainment.
On May 31, 2025, the Surat Hardware and Building Materials Merchants Association (SHABMMA) hosted its 13th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Prishti Farm, Canal Road, Kosmada, Surat.
From 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM, this grand event brought together 800 members and their families, totaling 1,700 attendees, for an evening of networking, reflection, and musical entertainment.
The program, expertly anchored by Vice President Rajeshbhai Nemani, commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, setting a warm tone. President Kiritbhai Patel delivered a heartfelt welcome speech, highlighting the association’s achievements.
Guests and sponsors were honored with mementos and bouquets, fostering a sense of appreciation. Secretary Dilipbhai Patel presented the annual report, detailing the year’s initiatives and introducing the new committee.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Dr. Jivrajbhai Dakhra, Founder President of Lok Samarpan Blood Donation Centre, was represented by Dr. Ashishbhai Kanani. Dr. Kanani shared insights on the benefits of blood donation and praised SHABMMA’s organizational strength, wishing it continued unity.
Guest of honour Mr. Hasmukhbhai Patel (MD, Hardware News, Ahmedabad) also appreciated the efforts of the association and emphasized on the unity of traders.
Sponsors, including Main Sponsor Pidilite Industries Limited, Associate Sponsor Link Lock Limited, and Patron Sponsor Crystal Interior Products Limited, delivered speeches and showcased promotional videos on LED screens, reinforcing their commitment to the association.
Advisory Committee Member Pramodbhai Bhagat provided a concise overview of SHABMMA’s journey since its inception, celebrating its growth. Leaders from allied Surat associations, attending as guests, were honored with bouquets, strengthening community ties.
The formal AGM concluded, giving way to a vibrant musical night that captivated attendees. The evening culminated with a sumptuous dinner, and each member received a thoughtful gift from the association, adding to the festive spirit.
SHABMMA, established in 2006, remains a cornerstone for over 1,100 hardware and building material suppliers in South Gujarat.
The association champions members’ interests, promotes best practices, and engages in social initiatives like blood donation camps, seminars, and cricket tournaments. The 13th AGM exemplified SHABMMA’s commitment to fostering collaboration and progress within the industry.
This memorable evening not only celebrated past achievements but also set the stage for another year of growth and camaraderie under SHABMMA’s banner.
