In a concerted effort to address the steep and unreasonable hike in Jantri rates, CREDAI Gujarat submitted a memorandum to city collectors across the state, including a significant protest in Surat.
At the Surat Collector’s Office, a memorandum was handed over to the Collector and District Magistrate of Surat, Dr. Saurabh Pardhi. A large delegation of developers and other stakeholders expressed their concerns over the unreasonable hike.
The main representatives included Gujarat CREDAI Chairman Jasmat Vidiya, Surat CREDAI Chairman Sanjay Mangukiya, President Dr. Jignesh Patel and several prominent developers of the city.
The Collector, while accepting the memorandum, assured to take appropriate action in collaboration with the government.
The protest highlighted the adverse impact of rate hikes on the real estate sector, with CREDAI urging for fairness and transparency in policy-making.
The memorandum stressed the need for balanced measures that protect the interests of developers, investors and home buyers, so as to ensure sustainable growth of the sector.
