Inception and Purpose

Residential Contractor Association- Surat organization was started in 2022 by Jayeshbhai Nanubhai Savaliya. When he was also working as a contractor, he experienced that there are many problems that cannot be solved individually. “If you need any information or want to understand legal matters, there should be a platform for that,” Jayeshbhai founded this association, feeling that. This organization, which started with very few people in the beginning, is moving forward strongly with more than 600 members.

Talking to Yugen Realty Newspaper about the organization, President Jayeshbhai Savalia said, “My mantra is to create mutual cooperation, awareness and dedicated organizational strength among contractors. We will not only work together, but also help and support each other and give a new direction to the industry. We are constantly trying to open the doors of development for the industry and every contractor. Residential Contractor Association – Surat is not just an organization, it is a family for every small and medium contractor business like us.”

Quarterly Meeting and Sharing of Experience

Every three months, a meeting of the organization is held in which various contractors share their problems, experiences, information and advice with each other. If there is any question, the committee members take care of it and solve it properly. Today, small contractor friends are taking advantage of this quarterly meeting on a large scale.

Awareness and Training

We all know how important rules, safety and insurance have become in today’s times. The association provides information about special safety and worker insurance. As a result of that awareness, today more than 400 members out of the 600 members of the association take out insurance for their laborers – this is truly commendable and exemplary. Due to insurance, their families have become safe and strong.

Agreement and settlement between contractor and homeowner

Many times, difficulties or disputes arise between the contractor and the homeowner. The association plays a neutral role in such a situation and settles the matter between the two parties. Guidance is also given on how the contract and agreement should be written and if necessary, sample documents are also given. Jayeshbhai himself follows this system and takes the contract with proper writing only.

Cooperation and responsibility

The spirit of cooperation and participation has deepened among contractor friends. The association is now taking various beneficial steps for the members – such as personal insurance plans for contractors, assistance in accidents, seminars for awareness, etc.

Cooperation from the industry

Companies like Kalika, Metarol, SRJ, Polad Steel, Gaj Kesari Steel, Duroguard are continuously providing cooperation. The cooperation of these industries is not only limited to production, but they also participate in the programs and awareness campaigns of the organization. Due to such knowledge seminars, the skills and society among the members are gradually increasing.

Sneh Milan with families

The specialty of the organization is that it also gives importance to the happiness and relationships outside of work in the lives of contractors. Every year, a beautiful program called “Sneh Milan” is organized in which members come with their families and come closer to each other.

Residential Contractors Association – Surat is not just an organization, but a family – which connects contractors not only professionally but also humanly. Today, such an association has emerged as a powerful voice for small and medium contractors and is proving to be a blessing.
