Surat Mayor Dakshesh Mavani joined the Asia Pacific City Summit and Mayors Forum held in Dubai from 26 to 29 October. Experts and leaders from more than 100 countries were present in this summit. The forum discussed the challenges and innovative solutions of urban development. How global cities can collaborate for growth and prosperity.

Meanwhile, Mayor Dakshesh Mavani, representing India in the City Leaders Forum, presented a picture of the significant work being done in the city of Surat in the areas of urban infrastructure, urban development, innovation in governance and public-private partnership. He described the Surat model as an example of successful urban development.
